National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Description: The mission of the National MS Society is to create a world free of MS. The Pacific South Coast Chapter serves 45,500 people affected by MS in Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties.
We have many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year.  We have non-paying internships is all departments.  We have fundraising events that require hundreds of volunteers. Walk MS is April 22 at LEGOLAND and April 28 at NTC Park at Liberty Station, San Diego.

Description: HASDC serves individuals and families affected by hemophilia and other blood borne diseases and related complications such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and arthritis. Our primary focus is to ensure that the very best medical care is available, provide social support, information/referral services along with emergency financial assistance. We also aim to present educational and information exchange programs for health professionals/ the lay public along with our numerous programs & services including our annual summer camp, Camp Pascucci.

Description: The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is looking for enthusiastic, service-minded individuals to share their time and talents with us. As a Fleet volunteer, you’ll help spark wonder and inspire lifelong learning in the fields of science and technology in kids and adults alike. Volunteers can help with classroom and Tinkering Studio activities, engage museum visitors in learning through the exhibits, open and close the museum, help run the theater shows, assist with behind-the-scenes administration, and much more!

Therapeutic Recreation Service

 International Student Office English in Action Program (On Campus)

Description: The English-in-Action tutor program (EIA) is a volunteer-run program where international students, scholars and spouses are matched with a volunteer tutor to help with English language skills and to better understand the American culture and help them acclimate to their new environment.  Conversation partners usually meet for 1.5 to 2 hours per week at the International Center or at another location that is convenient for both.
