Welcome to the Active Students for Teens website! Active Students for Teens (AST) is a volunteer organization that provides high school students with access to resources necessary to promote positive growth and academic success. In cooperation Kearny Mesa High School, volunteers interact through tutoring, mentoring, and workshops to provide support, guidance, self-awareness, and friendship.
Where and when? During the academic school year at Kearny Mesa High School at scheduled times that work best for you.
How do I get there? As the school is off-campus, tutors drive themselves or carpools will be arranged.
How do I get involved in this program? Attend one of the information meetings or contact AST at ucsdast@gmail.com. You’ll fill out some forms and have a TB test done (unless you have had one done in the last year).
