Friends Understanding Needs

Friends Understanding Needs (F.U.N.) is a mentor program catering to the 6th graders of Muirlands Middle School in La Jolla, CA. We provide one-on-one mentor/mentee relationships with volunteers from UCSD and "at risk" 6th graders. Time commitment is minimum 1 day per week (approx. 2 hours). We also have quarterly events such as trips to the San Diego Zoo or Sea World, along with Sports Day (a day of relays and fun games) and College Day (a tour of the UCSD campus plus exploration into possible futures).
